Essential Functions

• Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy/highway construction projects; performs manual work in preparing surfaces for concrete and paving.
• Comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements
• Must be physically healthy to stand, bend, and walk for 8 hours per day
• Aligning forms to facilitating concrete pouring on construction projects.
• This person will work to ensure that freshly poured concrete is laid and finished to a high standard.
• Spreading, leveling, and smoothing concrete using specialist equipment, compacting materials using power vibrators and creating different textures and finishes using brooms, trowels and other hand/power tools as needed.

Physical Demands
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work vary based on project needs. Overtime as required.

Required Education and Experience

Applicants must have at least 1-year concrete construction related experience. Must be at least 18 years of age. Applicants must hold a Regular Operator (Class D) driving license. Applicant must have no felonies that are violent in nature and/or theft related in the last 7 years. Applicant must have reliable transportation to and from job site. High School Diploma or GED preferred
