AI Integration Developer

About the Company: Grey Parrot is staffing an exciting consulting engagement at Top Client. This role leverages modern agentic AI frameworks — including LangGraph, RAG pipelines, and the Dify AI workflow orchestration platform — to build scalable, research-grade data workflows. This is a competitive engagement. Candidates will work directly with domain scientists, manage multiple active development tasks.

About the Role: The overall goal is to deliver functional, impactful workflows that aid research scientists with data management.

Responsibilities:

• Identifying the location of data and the methodology to determine which data is managed through the workflow
• Filtering, sanitizing, normalizing, and otherwise preparing data for storage and sharing
• Packaging data with AI-enabling metadata into HDFS format for long-term storage
• Creating a mechanism to migrate and inventory data for easy retrieval and sharing
• Building accessible interfaces and workflows usable by research staff
• Designing and implementing agentic AI workflows using LangGraph for stateful, multi-step research data pipelines
• Building and maintaining RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems to surface insights from scientific datasets
• Developing and managing structured AI workflows using Dify as the primary orchestration platform
• Writing thorough documentation of all solutions
• Constructing all components using acceptable tools, good coding practices, and accessible documentation

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Administration, or a closely related field — or equivalent experience
• 2 or more years of software development and/or system administration
• Hands-on experience with LangChain/LangGraph, Dify, and RAG system design is a strong plus
• Comfortable working independently in a research-driven, fast-paced environment

Required Skills:

AI & Machine Learning

• Strong working understanding of AI and large language models (LLMs)
• Ability to develop efficient prompts and structured workflows with AI integration
• Hands-on experience with LangGraph for building stateful, agentic multi-step AI workflows
• Experience designing and implementing RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines and vector databases
• Proficiency with Dify as an AI workflow orchestration platform — building, managing, and deploying structured AI pipelines

Data & Databases

• Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle)
• Experience with HDFS format and AI-enabling metadata for long-term scientific data storage
• Ability to filter, sanitize, normalize, and structure complex datasets

Development & Engineering

• Working knowledge of Python and other relevant scripting languages for automating tasks
• Working knowledge of revision control systems (Git)
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines via GitLab/GitHub for automated testing and deployment
• Familiarity with RESTful web services
• Strong skills in Linux (Debian and RHEL) CLI administration, development, and general use
• Familiarity with GUI development through web or Python applications

Communication

• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to develop requirements through interactions with technical domain experts
• Ability to write clear, comprehensive documentation

Pay range:120k to 160k per annum
