Fashion Designer - GRETCHEN SCOTT DESIGNS

• Westchester based women's fashion design company looking for an organized, detail oriented Assistant Designer to support our Head Designer. You will execute Fashion CADs and on brand designs. Must have two years of Fashion experience in women's clothing. Come join our dynamic design team! IN HOUSE POSITION.

Professional Qualifications Required but not limited to:

• Technical Knowledge FDS sheet.
• Ability to create print patterns in Illustrator with as many as 15 colors.
• Must be able to draw CAD bodies in Illustrator.
• Able to create and edit seasonal linesheets.
• Must have knowledge of embroidery layout and design.
• Full knowledge of Apple and PC products.
• Will be given a garment and print to draw during the interview process.
• 5-10 years women's apparel experience required.
• Knowledge of garment construction, graphic skills, attend fittings, taking notes and product development.
• Must work well with others, be well organized, have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, multi-tasker and be proactive in problem solving - Team player.
• Please include portfolio of designs & tech packs.
• This position is strictly in house - no exceptions!

Must be able to work in Pelham, NY (PLEASE CHECK THE COMMUTE BEFORE APPLYING).

Schedule: M-F 9:00 -5:30.
