Job Description:
- Supervises a team and is responsible for receiving all incoming materials (for example for jobs, stock, or assembly)
- Supervises the receiving, storing, packaging, and shipping of merchandise or material
- Manage 3PL partners
- Maintain stock records and schedules
- Perform Inventory Control and assure accuracy in Inventory Control System - including receiving and issuing of material as well as inventory cycle count
- Perform cycle counting, to ensure full inventory compliance
- Sub Assembly kitting experience
- Enforce plant safety and security
- Monitor and maintain a clean work area and plant cleanliness
- Responsible for quality assurance for work performed
- Cultivate a work environment of trust, teamwork, accountability, and self-confidence to accomplish goals and objectives
- Ensure good communication with all internal departments and external interfaces
- Full understanding of all processes, procedures, and safety risks associated with the processing areas
- Ability to work with and understand Inventory Control Systems (SAP)
- Good knowledge of MS-Office products
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Forklift experience required
- Flexibility to occasionally work first and second shift and on Saturdays when necessary
- Ability to lift 40 pounds continuously and up to 70 pounds occasionally
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a warehouse environment
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience required
- SAP experience required
- Knowledge of logistics best practices
- Experience setting up international shipments in terms of creating proper paperwork and coordinating with forwarders
- Knowledge of scheduling freight carriers and LTL
