Inventory Manager
Location: Beachwood, OH
Position Overview:
The Warehouse manager is an experienced and highly organized individual that oversees all warehouse operations in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials, components, and finished goods to support production efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Operations Management
- Manage daily warehouse operations including shipping/receiving, inventory control, material handling, and material coordination for work preparation
- Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of internal and external orders
- Coordinate with production and procurement teams to align warehouse activities with production schedules
- Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and manage warehouse staff to ensure a high-performance work environment, and adherence to Millennium procedures
- Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance metrics
- Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensure all warehouse activities comply with safety regulations and company policies
- Implement and maintain 5S practices and other lean warehouse methodologies
- Process Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP tools to streamline operations
- Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and present regular reports on inventory levels, shipping/receiving activities, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and regulatory compliance
What we need you to have:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of experience in warehouse or inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of inventory control systems, warehouse processes, and logistics
- Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
What we’d love you to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in warehouse or inventory management, preferably in a high-mix manufacturing environment
- Experience implementing new processes and systems in a warehouse environment
- Working knowledge of electrical/controls components and systems
Additional Information:
- Work is primarily performed in a warehouse environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate material handling equipment
- Occasional extended hours or weekend work may be required based on production needs.
- Travel Requirements – 5 - 10% trave
