What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crewman position at Greiner Buildings, Inc?
Under limited supervision, completes quality building projects by digging and installing footings, framing walls and roof structures, installing windows, doors, various siding and roof materials, and finishing with metal and wood trims.
Key responsibilities:
- Learn and follow Greiner Buildings, Inc. safety and construction procedures.
- Read, understand, and build according to the customer and foreman's specifications.
- Operate construction hand tools and other specialized equipment.
- Work with other crew members in a safe, organized, and enjoyable work environment
- Apply good customer service and maintain a clean work site.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, various types of weather and at heights up to 30 feet.
- Willingness to adapt to a flexible work schedule. Arrive prior to 6 am star to of shift and working approximately 50 hours/week. Willing to work extra hours when needed such as good weather conditions, completing work before bad weather, and taking care of demanding customer situations.
- Ability to operation construction hand tools and other specialized equipment safely and effectively.
- Overnights may occasionally be required (crew members receive paid hotel rooms and per diem)
