- Oversee North American product lifecycle management and monitor success of the assigned product portfolio.
- Drive product vision, messaging, strategy and development, working with global product management to assure strong coordination on product line strategies and alignment with the company's overall strategy and goals.
- Responsible for go-to-market strategies for new products, including collaborating with global product management and commercial excellence teams to determine price points, researching competitive products and providing information to the sales team.
- Collaborate with sales, commercial excellence and global colleagues to properly forecast mid-to-long term product line sales demands.
- Monitor customer and market trends by methods such as conducting market research, attending industry tradeshows and meeting with customers. Use these insights to serve as the voice of the customer and advocate for North American market, resulting in informed product roadmaps, strategic product positioning, business cases for product development and customer satisfaction.
- Support the product line with materials such as, but not limited to, product presentations, brochures and sales tools.
- Provide Sales and Customers additional support on product matters as needed.
- Develop and enhance product training and educational materials for internal use, customer training and onboarding new hires as needed.
- Support the Technical Support team by serving as GBO Internal Product Expert, answering questions about product line.
- Support the Global Product Management team and Scientific Affairs Manager with the development and maintenance of relationships with instrument vendors.
- Coordinate local (North American) technical support with instrument vendors, in coordination with technical services.
- Support the Regulatory Team and Scientific Affairs with obtaining all US and Canadian Clearances (including FDA and Health Canada).
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- One to three years’ experience within IVD, Life Sciences, Medical Devices, and/or healthcare industry. Global work experiences a plus.
- Presentation skills and expertise in conducting internal and in-market seminars.
- Strong interpersonal, persuasive and negotiation skills required.
- Organizational & planning skills a must.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Travel of approximately 20 - 40% in the field within North America (some European and global travel could be required).
- BS degree, with a preference for Science (Chemistry, Biology, Medical Technology, etc..) or Business/Marketing.
