Job Requisition #: 032569 Lead Electro Mechanical Technician (Open) Job Description: Key Responsibilities Performs scheduled preventive maintenance tasks such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment to detect and prevent problems. Performs start up and shut down of equipment in accordance with operation’s requirements and company safety procedures. Visually inspects and tests electrical machinery and equipment. Leads efforts to dismantle, inspect, and replace electrical machinery and defective electrical parts. Provides guidance during inspections and ensures that the work is completed efficiently and correctly. Performs and/or provides guidance on lay-outs, assemblies, installs, tests, repairs, and adjusts electrical fixtures, apparatuses, equipment, wiring, to include panels and breakers. Leads the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial control systems, including instrumentation and power distribution equipment. Performs PLC programming, troubleshooting and program documentation maintenance. Examines work orders and ensures information is complete and accurate. Makes additions or revsions to work orders as needed. Converses with equipment operators to detect equipment problems. Reads and interprets equipment manuals, diagrams, sketches, schematics, engineering specifications, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Creates manuals, diagrams, sketches, schematics, and engineering specifications for projects. Performs work of very complex electrical theory and principles, statutory codes, and principles of operation of electrical equipment. Responds to any arc flash incidents to ensure safety and mitigate further risks. Mentors and advises Junior Technicians. Introduces new safety initiatives, rules, and processes. Ensures all electricians adhere to safety rules including live panel permits, arc flash safety, NEC codes, and other safety rules that govern the electrical trades. Promotes, complies, and ensures operations and company safety procedures and practices. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Typically possesses High School diploma (or equivalent) and 7 or more years of experience. #LI-NR1 Compensation Range: The pay range for this position is $28.80 - $49.09. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between $35.00 to $49.00. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. If the competitive wage is equal in both fields, the starting rate is the same for all applicants that apply for this role. The starting rate is not representative of future compensation increases. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
