Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be one of the first points of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, dental insurance, scheduling, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in computer skills. The Front Desk Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This role requires timeliness, teamwork, the ability to learn a new software and treat all patients and team members with the utmost respect. Salary is dependant on experience.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage multi-line phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and provide information regarding services.
- Perform insurance verification, be able to understand and answer insurance questions for patients and assist with patient intake processes.
- Maintain accurate medical/dental records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize EHR system Curve for patient management and documentation review.
- Assist with dental billing and coding tasks.
- Support the dental team with clerical duties including filing, typing, and managing care plans.
- Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their inquiries and concerns while maintaining confidentiality.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is required.
- Familiarity with dental codes and dental insurance is essential.
- Proficiency in Curve software is a plus but not required.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite; experience with dental software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix is a plus.
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Bilingual abilities are an advantage for effective communication with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
