What You’ll Do
As a Project Manager, you will oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout while ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to Gregory Construction’s high standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage heavy civil construction projects from start to finish
- Oversee underground utility installation, including water, sewer, storm drainage, and duct banks
- Lead concrete, earthwork, and site development scopes on large-scale infrastructure projects
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and risk management plans
- Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and clients
- Manage contracts, change orders, billing, cost reporting, and project documentation
- Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to internal leadership and clients
- Promote a safety-first culture while maintaining OSHA compliance and quality standards
- Build trusted client relationships through proactive and professional communication
- Mentor project engineers and support the growth of project teams

What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of Project Management experience in heavy civil construction
- Strong background in one or more of the following:
- Underground utilities
- Earthwork
- Concrete construction
- Civil infrastructure or site development
- Experience managing projects ranging from approximately $500K to $30M
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and contract administration
- Experience with project management software such as Procore, MS Project, or Primavera
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel throughout the Midwest to support active projects
- A leadership style grounded in accountability, teamwork, and respect
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent field experience
- Experience supporting mission-critical or large-scale infrastructure projects
