Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented orthodontic assistant to join our busy orthodontic practice. An orthodontic assistant plays a vital role in supporting the orthodontist and ensuring high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include procedures such as placing braces, delivering retainers and aligners; taking X-rays, photographs, and digital impressions; and sterilizing instruments while maintaining clean and organized treatment rooms. The assistant also educates patients on proper oral hygiene and how to care for their orthodontic appliances, updates and maintains accurate patient records, and helps create a smooth, comfortable, and positive experience for every patient throughout their visit.
Qualifications:
- Experience in orthodontic/dental assisting OR a desire and willingness to learn new skills and grow professionally
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with patients of all ages
- Proficiency in practice management software (experience with Ortho2 or similar is a plus) or a desire to learn.
- State of Maine Radiology license must be obtained (timeline negotiable)

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
