Responsibilities
- Assess patients' general condition, including taking vital signs and weight.
- Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
- Provide basic patient care as directed by providers.
- Accurately document patient interactions, treatments, medications, and responses in the medical record.
- Promote patient wellness through education materials, physician guidance, and follow-up instructions.
- Adhere to infection control standards, safety regulations, and patient confidentiality policies.
- Assist with prior authorizations for diagnostic procedures.
- Support clerical functions, including medical records management, EMR document indexing, filing, and secretarial duties as needed.
- Provide coverage and assistance in additional administrative areas when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of infection control, patient confidentiality, and environmental safety procedures.
- Experience with medical records, chart documentation, and electronic health records (EHR/EMR).
- Strong health information management and patient documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and coworkers.
- Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing priorities and workloads.
