Pay: $45,000 (based on experience)
Reports To: Controller
Job Summary
Gregg Orr Auto Collection is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for processing new hires, administering insurance benefits, and accurately processing weekly and bi-weekly payroll. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and prior payroll or financial experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll in an accurate and timely manner
- Process new hires and maintain employee payroll records
- Administer insurance enrollments and assist with determining eligibility for benefit plans
- Process and verify pay plan calculations, including commission and incentive-based compensation
- Ensure payroll calculations and withholdings are accurate and properly documented
- Maintain payroll records and reports
- Collaborate with internal departments to develop or modify pay plans
- Monitor payroll and benefit programs for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Qualifications & Experience
- 2–4 years of payroll or financial experience preferred
- Reynolds & Reynolds software experience preferred
- Automotive or marine industry experience is a plus
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
