A local tank manufacture is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Class A CDL Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for transporting steel products to customers and suppliers on local and regional routes while providing excellent customer service and maintaining compliance with all DOT regulations. We are looking for someone who takes pride in operating equipment safely, securing loads properly, and representing our company professionally.
Essential Responsibilities
Safely operate company trucks, flatbed trailer, and gooseneck trailer.
Deliver steel products to customers and suppliers on scheduled routes.
Properly secure loads using chains, straps, binders, and other load securement equipment.
Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.
Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time.
Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel and customers.
Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
Operate forklifts or overhead cranes when qualified.
Report on equipment issues and maintenance needs promptly.
Follow all company safety policies and DOT regulations.
Qualifications:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.
Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety.
Experience operating flatbed trailers preferred.
Knowledge of proper cargo securement techniques.
Forklift experience is a plus.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to work independently while maintaining a positive team attitude.
