Purpose of Position: This position’s primary responsibility is to supervise client activities and to protect the safety, security and health of clients by ensuring compliance with ministry rules and expectations.

- Ensures a safe, secure, stable and supportive facility 24 hours per day.
- Ensures the safety of clients, volunteers and staff in an emergency.
- Ensures compliance with client guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Provides access to client medications.
- Provides client transportation.
- Maintains a facility environment that supports emotional, mental, and physical safety.
- Interacts with clients by providing encouragement and prayer
- Assists clients with communication skills, problem solving techniques, and self-discipline.
- Conducts periodic rounds or CCTV monitoring to ensure the security of the facility.
- Performs regular inspections for cleanliness and contraband.
- Maintains a visible and continuous staff presence in the facility.
- Consults with the Ministry Manager regarding the needs, behaviors and goals of clients.
- Conducts breathalyzer/urinalysis of clients in accordance with policy.
- Completes written incident reports.
- Develops and posts a daily client work schedule.
- Monitors and inspects the completion of all tasks on the client work roster.
- Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Maintains First Aid and CPR certification.
- Exercises necessary precautions for the risk of exposure to both airborne and blood borne pathogens.
- Maintains Christian and professional ethics when dealing with clients, staff, volunteers, and at any time while representing Greenwood Pathway House.
- Other duties as assigned by the Ministry Leader.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervision of clients and volunteers.
- Enforces organizational policies and applicable laws.
- Assists the Ministry Leader in assigning work, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
- Assumes specified operational duties in absence of and as authorized by the Ministry Leader.
Qualifications:
- Education or equivalent experience: High School Diploma with 6 months of ministry experience.
- License/Certification: Valid South Carolina Driver’s License with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by GPH’s insurance carrier.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with emotional stability.
- Able to sit, stand, talk and hear. Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 30 pounds.
- Visual acuity that includes close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
- Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Windows and databases.
- Able to appropriately handle sensitive information and maintain required confidentiality.
- Prioritizes tasks without guidance.
