Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Language Arts Teacher to join our educational team for grades 4-6.
The ELA Teacher will be responsible for performing the following duties:
- Planning and Instruction: Prepare, teach, and facilitate engaging ELA lessons for grades 4, 5, and 6.
- Lesson Planning: Create and implement weekly lesson plans that align with curriculum goals and standards.
- Technology Integration: Use appropriate technology to enhance and differentiate instruction.
- Classroom Management: Establish, communicate, and enforce clear rules and procedures to promote a positive learning environment.
- Discipline: Maintain classroom discipline in accordance with school policies and disciplinary systems.
- Assessment and Feedback: Provide timely and constructive feedback on student work, homework, tests, and projects.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students’ progress, attendance, and performance.
- Reporting: Prepare required reports and documentation in compliance with school policies and regulations.
- Collaboration: Participate actively in departmental, school-wide, and parent meetings.
- Communication: Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress and student needs.
- Learning Environment: Prepare and organize the classroom for daily activities and instructional needs.
- Evaluation: Monitor, assess, and document student performance and development.
- Professional Conduct: Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field such as English Education.
- Strong understanding of pedagogy, curriculum design, and child development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven classroom management and organizational skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
