GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In this challenging role, you will be supporting the ABA-Applied Baccalaureate department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.
- Assist instructor with lab courses and the use of all equipment in this profession.
- Operate lathes, mills, and surface grinders and apply all safety regulations.
- Operate Solid Works, CATIA V5, AutoCAD, FUSION 360 and Sketch up.
- Assist with class preparations following syllabus guidelines.
- Knowledge of Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing and procedure)
- Assist with maintaining a safe work environment for students and enforce all safety rules.
- Check and report daily any equipment malfunctions.
- Provide instructors details about students that need extra assistance.
- Assist with clean-up procedures following each lab.
- Assist with inventory management of perishables.
- Perform other tasks and duties independently as required by the instructor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A High School diploma/GED
- An Associate Degree in Machine Tool Technology; OR
- An Associate Degree in Engineering Design & Architectural Engineering Technology; OR
- A High School Diploma and three (3) years of full-time work experience in the Tool and Die field and Engineering field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Associate’s degree in Mechatronics, or Machine tool Technology. • A solid knowledge and understanding of the lab courses associated with the Bachelor of Applied Science in Advanced Manufacturing is required. • A solid knowledge of CAD, SolidWorks, Hand tools, Heat treating, welding processes, Machine Shop Safety, 5S, and Must have the ability to work independently as well as within groups.
