JOB DESCRIPTION
- Position Title: Food and Beverage Supervisor
Reports To: Clubhouse Manager
II. Primary Purpose of Job
The Food and Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of dining room operations and/or banquet events to include cleanliness, timeliness of food service and maintaining service standards. The Food and Beverage Supervisor areas of responsibility will include all dining/banuet areas and any other club area related to the dining facility. The Food and Beverage Supervisor shall maintain these facilities and services at the highest quality level for the enjoyment of members and their guests.
III. Major Responsibilities
- Orient, train, supervise and periodically assists in the performance reviews of servers, bus attendants and bartenders.
Follow and enforce all rules and policies of the Club.
- Ensure that the restaurant, bar, banquet space and private dining rooms are run in an efficient manner, and proper service is offered at all times, according to manuals and training programs.
- Conduct a daily meeting with service staff to disseminate information, discuss problems and solutions, etc.
- Maintain a high level of member contact during service hours.
- Handle member and guest routine comments in a professional manner according to established policies. Refer any significant issues to the Clubhouse Manager.
- Revise schedules of service staff to the flow of business as needed.
- Daily walk through of dining facilities and related areas before and after each dining period to assure everything is in proper order.

- Ensure payroll records and punches are accurate on a daily basis and make adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain an accurate account of each employee under your supervision to ensure they are following proper guidelines and procedures.
- Supervise all duties you have delegated to make certain they are being done in a manner, which will ensure the success of the dining room.
- Oversee the appearance of all silver, hollowware and other equipment. Execute all maintenance programs to maintain these items.
- Plan special dining menus with members who want to have a lunch/dinner party in a private room.
- Prepare daily reports detailing sales, problems, complaints, ideas, employee feedback, etc.
- Participate as an active member of the management staff in improving the service and operation of the Club.
- Foster a teamwork spirit within the staff. Assist in developing incentive programs and other morale-boosting programs to ensure a high level of enthusiasm in the service staff.
- Make sure all safety rules have been followed and take care of reports in accordance with Club policy.
- Present a professional image through dress and demeanor both on and off Club premises.
- Anticipate needs/requests of service staff, members and guests, so we may provide “proactive” service at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge and Skills Required
Must possess the technical skills of management, with the ability to organize, motivate and lead a staff in quality standards.
Must have knowledge of all things relating to alcohol/bar service including knowledge of wine and wine service. Mixology is a plus.
Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a supervisor.
