Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for children in your care
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure safety at all times
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation and respect among children
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment following health and safety regulations
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, behavior, and any concerns
- Assist with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, and transitioning between activities
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to handle multiple children simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with parents and team members
- Passion for caregiving, teaching, and supporting young children's growth and learning
