Crossroads Learning Corner is seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our team. We are a Christian childcare center committed to providing a safe, loving, and faith-filled environment where children can grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
Our toddler teachers play an important role in helping children develop independence, communication skills, self-confidence, and a love of learning during these exciting early years.
Position Summary
The Toddler Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children anywhere from ages 24 months to 3 years. This position requires patience, creativity, consistency, and a genuine love for working with young children as they navigate important developmental milestones.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, caring, and positive classroom environment for toddlers.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote language development, social-emotional growth, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory exploration, and early learning concepts.
- Support children as they develop independence, self-help skills, and positive behaviors.
- Maintain classroom routines, schedules, and transitions throughout the day.
- Assist with potty training efforts and communicate progress with families.
- Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Communicate daily with parents regarding their child's activities, development, and needs.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and required documentation.
- Keep the classroom clean, organized, and compliant with all health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with coworkers and administration to provide excellent care and education.
- Incorporate Christian values and biblical principles into daily interactions, lessons, and classroom culture.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience working with toddlers in a childcare setting preferred.
- First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to pass all required background checks.
- Must be physically able to lift up to 40 pounds, sit on the floor, bend, kneel, and actively engage with children throughout the day.
