Join our team as an Interior Horticultural Technician.

In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining commercial interior plants and flowers, assisting with new installations, plant replacements and holiday decorating. We’re looking for someone knowledgeable and passionate about plants, gardening, and interior landscape practices.

Locally owned and operated Orlando Premier Interior Plantscape Company providing commercial design, installation and maintenance of interior plants, short term events and holiday decorating.

Requirements:

• Love working with tropical foliage and have excellent customer service skills
• Live in the Greater Orlando area
• Be able to Speak, Read and Write English
• Clean driving record minimum of 5 years
• Ability to pass a drug and background screening
• Knowledge of interior tropical plants with prior experience working with plants either in a similar position, greenhouses, gardening, retail or other.
• Comfortable driving and navigating in traffic to service an assigned regular route.

Duties

• Provide expert maintenance of interior foliage that includes proper watering, identifying pest issues, cleaning plants, trimming and pruning to ensure healthy plant growth across multiple horticultural environments.
• Friendly and professional with the ability to communicate with clients and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Follow safety protocols while driving and servicing client accounts.
• Document work performed in logs or reports; communicate progress or issues to supervisors promptly.
• Work independently with the ability to self manage the duties of your assigned route in a specific range of time.
• Work with co-workers on special projects like short term events, new installs, plant replacements and holiday decorating.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in horticulture-related fields such as gardening, knowledge of interior types of foliage and prior interior landscape experience.
• Hands-on experience with maintaining plants indoors; knowledge of plant care best practices.
• Strong understanding of interior landscape maintenance principles and watering practices.
• Physical stamina to perform duties of walking, use of step to 6' ladder, bending, kneeling, driving in traffic in various weather conditions; ability to lift up to 45 pounds for water machine and plant materials when necessary.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
