- Essential Functions
Wash and properly store all cooking utensils, china, flatware and glassware.
III. Additional Responsibilities
- Maintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times as detailed in employee handbook
- Wash all china, flatware and glassware in the dish machine
- Wash all pots and pans by hand in the pot sink
- Clean food production, serving and holding equipment
- Polish all platters, serving pieces and chafing dishes
- Burnish all flatware
- Collect trash from kitchen areas, empty garbage cans, wash and re-line with new bags
- Examine garbage for flatware, dishes and glassware
- Wash and polish all surfaces in kitchen, including shelves, cabinets, tables, coffee urns, refrigerators, walk-ins, equipment, etc
- Notifies Lead Steward, Sous Chef and/or Chef of all product shortages and equipment maintenance issues
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors
- Clean and organize loading dock area
- Store all club property in proper areas
- Clean dish machine as needed and after each shift
- Performs necessary clean-up and sanitation maintenance activities for food preparation equipment and storage facilities
- Perform other tasks such as assisting food preparation, putting away deliveries, cleaning coolers, freezers, and store roomsIV. Physical Requirements
- Able to lift forty pounds overhead safely and repetitively without struggling (example, lifting a full 5 gallon bucket onto a high shelf)
- Able to stand for four hours without requiring a break
- Able to stoop, bend over and squat for extended periods of time (example, repetitively retrieving items stored low or cleaning low shelves and awkward to reach places)
- Able to perform repetitive motions for extended periods of time (example, mixing products by hand, using a kitchen knife, or operating a food slicer)V. Reports to No supervisory duties are included in this position.
