Position Overview
The Unit Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily operations of a nursing unit, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. This role involves leadership, clinical oversight, and effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to maintain the highest quality of resident care.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, on assigned unit.
Oversee resident care plans, assessments, and interventions to ensure compliance with care standards.
Monitor staff performance and provide coaching, mentoring, and evaluations.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and policies.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
Manage unit staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Respond promptly to resident or family concerns and maintain high satisfaction levels.
Maintain accurate records and reports for audits and inspections.
Qualifications
Current RN (Registered Nurse) license in [State].
