As a Maintenance Assistant, you'll work alongside our Maintenance Director to help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and team members.
Responsibilities- Assist with routine maintenance and repairs of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Perform basic carpentry, painting, and general building repairs
- Complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner
- Conduct routine inspections of the building and grounds
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the facility
- Assist with room setups for meetings, activities, and special events
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility needs
- Assist with preventative maintenance projects
- Perform seasonal grounds maintenance, including lawn care and snow removal as needed
- Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous maintenance experience required; healthcare or long-term care experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
