The RoleEnjoy an independent work environment, fresh air, and regular exercise while improving the lives of pets. This is a full-time position requiring 6–8 hours of availability between 9 AM – 5 PM, Monday–Friday, with occasional evenings, weekends, and overnight stays. We require a minimum one-year commitment.
QualificationsAnimal Intuition: Comfortable handling various breeds and sizes; prior pet care experience (professional or volunteer) is strongly preferred.
Reliability: Strong time-management skills and a track record of dependability.
Communication: Excellent customer service skills for interacting with pet parents.
Chicago-Tough: Able to navigate the city safely and work through all four seasons (rain, snow, or shine!).
Clearance: Must pass a criminal background check.
Competitive Pay: Full-time earners typically gross between $34,000–$42,000 annually, with extra pay for evenings and weekends.
Private Walks: No pack walking; we focus on one family’s pets at a time.
