What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Walker/Pet Sitter position at Furamor Chicago Dog Walking & Pet Care?
Welcome to FurAmor, where pets are family! We are a well-established and growing pet care business located in Chicago. We specialize in providing daily exercise and play for dogs from the comfort of their own home. We also provide pet sitting and overnight services for most types of domestic animals including dogs, cats, birds and more.
"FULL-TIME MIDDAY" POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 1 (30 hours a week)
LOCATION:
- Old Irving Park
"PART-TIME MIDDAY" POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 3
LOCATION:
- Portage Park (15-20 hours a week)
- Albany Park (20 hours a week)
- Park Ridge (20-25 hours a week)
Must be available M-F 9:00am-5:00pm consistently
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- MUST BE ABLE TO HANDLE DOG(S) 125 LBS PLUS (Must be able to handle strong dogs.)
- Able to lift 50lb or more
- Able to bend, twist and bend over to pick up after pets.
- LOVES and enjoys spending time with animals is a must.
- LIVE IN OR WITHIN 15 MINUTES OF OUR SERVICE AREA.
- Attentive nature. Must be able to be in tune with your surroundings.
- Understands importance of good customer relations.
- Comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
- Must have a reliable, insured vehicle and valid driver's license.
- Must have working smartphone and internet access.
- Walkers MUST be available between 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday
- Open night and weekend availability for pet sitting assignments is a plus.
- 18 years of age or older
- Pass a background and reference checks

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.60 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
