Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of Supply Chain to lead and optimize our supply chain operations. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end supply chain processes, including logistics, planning, and inventory management, to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong team leadership abilities and a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics to drive operational excellence across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-efficient transportation, distribution, and delivery of goods.
- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain plans aligned with organizational goals, including demand forecasting and inventory management strategies.
- Monitor and optimize logistics inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the supply chain to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and increase service levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as procurement, manufacturing, and sales to synchronize supply chain activities.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies related to logistics and inventory management.
- Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supply chain performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supply chain management or logistics leadership roles, preferably at a director level or higher.
- Strong team leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Extensive knowledge of logistics operations, supply chain planning, and inventory management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives within complex supply chains.
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in data-driven decision-making tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
