SUMMARY
The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a critical role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent to support the organization’s strategic goals. This position partners closely with hiring managers and HR leadership to develop effective sourcing strategies, enhance employer branding, and ensure a seamless candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
YOUR ROLE IN SERVING OUR CLIENTS AND ASSISTING DIVISIONS INCLUDES:
- Collaborate with department leaders to understand hiring needs and develop job descriptions.
- Source candidates through various channels including job boards, social media, networking events, and employee referrals.
- Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate interview schedules with hiring teams.
- Manage recruitment in ADP Workforce Now to ensure accurate and timely communication.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in recruitment strategies.
- Represent the company at career fairs, university events, and industry conferences.
- Provide a positive candidate experience by maintaining clear communication and timely feedback.
- Assist in onboarding processes and collaborate with HR team members to ensure smooth transitions.
- Track and report recruitment metrics to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Make recommendations to hire, or not to hire, and negotiate and present employment offers for both exempt and non-exempt positions.
- Work with HR Leadership and the CFO to formulate strategic approaches to attract the best-fitting prospective employees at compensation levels that fit within current budget parameters.
- Work with leaders and Assistant Director of HR to ensure job descriptions and position requirements are aligned with business objectives.
- Act as liaison with 3rd Party Recruiters for approved positions.
- Ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations.

MINIMUM EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field and a minimum of two years’ experience executing a full cycle recruiting process, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- HR or Recruiting certification, or desire or progress toward completion.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to regularly talk and hear.
- Long periods of sitting and standing.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer and office equipment.
- Bending at the waist, reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally to retrieve files and supplies.
- Ability to verbally answer the phone and visually utilize a computer screen.
- Local and overnight travel may be required to meet team members’ needs.
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive.
- Position may require more than 40 hours a week during peak business responsibilities.
- Ability to lift event equipment and supplies.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Normal office environment, subject to regular interruptions, that is well lit, properly ventilated and handicap accessible.
- Position will require some travel, including the potential for overnight travel.
OTHER
- Regular and predictable attendance in the Kalamazoo, Michigan office is required.
- Our normal operating hours are Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
