Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting café environment, and providing outstanding customer service. This role requires a love for coffee, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Preferably a college student with a flexible schedule. Low hours to start out, around 10, with an increase to somewhere between 20-30 hours a week starting mid-spring, and extending through the summer. Potential to stick around in the fall/winter.
*This is a fast-paced job in the summertime. Of course, we have our slow days when the weather is bad, but if you are expecting lazy days at the lake, please do not interview.*
*Pay INCLUDES PAYCHECK tips only. There are also cash tips, so pay will be somewhere between $27.50-$28.50/hr.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso beverages according to standard recipes.
- Operate the POS system for order processing and cash handling accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and workstations.
- Keep coffee shop stocked and clean throughout shift.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking orders, answering questions, and making recommendations.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly while maintaining accurate records of sales.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Unload Costco orders.
Experience
- Previous barista experience is not required but highly preferred.
- Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Proficiency in using POS systems for order entry and cash handling is beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and understanding retail math concepts.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
