$65,000 to $75,000 per year depending on experience and shift

The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing daily operations of assigned bar soap production lines. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing operations while achieving production, quality, cost, and delivery objectives. The Supervisor provides leadership in a unionized manufacturing environment and drives continuous improvement across people, processes, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities of the Production Supervisor

• Lead, supervise, and develop production personnel; assign work, monitor performance, and provide coaching and corrective action as needed
• Ensure daily production targets, efficiency metrics, and KPIs are met
• Provide hands-on floor leadership and real-time direction to shift employees
• Coordinate with Maintenance for preventative maintenance, repairs, and equipment installations
• Ensure all products meet quality and regulatory standards
• Maintain accurate production records and shift reports
• Manage timekeeping and payroll-related documentation
• Administer the collective bargaining agreement in alignment with company policies
• Support workforce planning, staffing, and hiring activities
• Ensure compliance with GMP, OSHA, and company policies
• Promote a strong safety culture and lead incident investigations
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and special projects

Qualifications of the Production Supervisor

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Production Management, Engineering, Operations, or related field)
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience with employee relations, performance management, and labor relations
• Working knowledge of GMP and OSHA standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
