Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Panel Wiring / Special Machine Wiring Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for wiring control panels, assembling electrical components, and integrating systems for custom-built machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical schematics, safe wiring practices, and hands-on experience with various electrical tools and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Mechanical Assembly: Layout and mount electrical components (e.g. DIN rail, wire duct, PLC racks, power supplies, circuit breakers, transformers, and terminal blocks) onto enclosures and/or sub panels according to shop drawings.
· Wiring & Routing: Route and tie wires neatly using wire duct and cable ties. Route, strip, crimp, and terminate wires according to electrical schematics and point-to-point wiring diagrams.
· Wire Preparation and Termination: Strip, crimp, and lug wires accurately. Ensure all connections are secure and meet torque specifications.
· Labeling: Apply wire markers and component tags in strict accordance with the Bill of Materials (BOM).
· Quality Control: Perform self-inspections and continuity tests using multimeters to ensure the panel is error-free before it moves to the testing phase.
· Shop Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure all tools are properly calibrated and stored.
· Assist with on-site installation and support if required, both domestically and internationally
Qualifications:
· Technical certification in electrical/electronics preferred
· 5 years of experience in electrical panel wiring or machine wiring (or equivalent training)
· Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and industrial wiring practices
· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
· Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently or as part of a team
· Knowledge of computer systems and industrial automation is a plus
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform hands-on work in a shop environment
· Standing, bending, and working in confined areas as needed
