You will handle a wide variety of low voltage wiring tasks that make a real difference for our clients:

  • Cable Installation: Pull and route structured low voltage cable (Cat 5e, Cat 6, Fiber, Coax, Phone) in commercial environments.
  • Termination: Terminate all cable types including Cat 5e/6, Coax, and Fiber connections.
  • Distribution Frames: Dress and terminate 66 blocks, 110 blocks, and patch panels.
  • Cabling Solutions: Design, implement, and maintain structured cabling systems for client environments.
  • Testing and Labeling: Test and certify all wire runs and label according to documentation standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve connectivity and cabling issues.
  • Device Installation: Install and mount IP devices that connect into the network, including wireless access points, cameras, and speakers.

  • Customer Communication: Keep clients informed on project progress, notify them of any changes or scheduled work windows.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project leads and senior technicians on larger installations and escalated issues.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve customer service and client satisfaction.
  • Escalate service and project issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levels.
  • Enter time and project details accurately in our ticketing system.
  • Stay current on industry standards, new cabling technologies, and certifications.

The right candidate will:

  • Complete installations with precision, attention to detail, and professionalism.
  • Build trust with clients through clear communication and quality workmanship.
  • Adapt quickly to changing job site conditions and priorities.
  • Take initiative to learn and grow within the role.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for someone who has:

  • 1–2 years of low voltage cabling experience (or equivalent technical training).
  • Hands-on experience pulling, terminating, and testing structured cabling (Cat 5e/6, Fiber, Coax).
  • Familiarity with distribution frame termination (66 blocks, 110 blocks, patch panels).
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for connectivity issues.
  • Customer service skills, with clear and patient communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple job sites without losing attention to detail.
  • Ownership of basic telecom tools: punch down tools, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, hard hat, boots, and safety glasses.
  • Dependable transportation for travel to client sites.
  • Motivation to grow into advanced technical and leadership roles.

Bonus Skills (Not Required, but Great to Have):

  • BICSI Installer certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with fiber optic splicing and testing.
  • Experience installing and configuring IP devices (wireless APs, cameras, speakers).
