At Greenhaven Landscapes, we create premier outdoor living spaces that provide havens for our customers, community and employees. We work in carpentry, hardscape, and pools to create exceptional spaces for our clients, and we are very focused on giving our clients a contractor experience like no other. We are disciplined, accountable, transparent, aligned, and results-oriented. We will create 100 outdoor living spaces with 30 remarkable team members, generating $5M in revenue.
Position Summary:
The Foreman is responsible for overseeing, directing, and building projects with a landscape construction crew to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires strong leadership, hands-on work ethic, and effective communication skills to coordinate team efforts, manage job site tasks, and maintain a positive work environment. This includes but is not limited to:
Leadership & Supervision:
- Lead, train, and motivate a crew of landscape construction team members.
- Ensure all crew members understand their daily tasks and execute them efficiently.
- Foster a safe and productive work environment while enforcing company policies and procedures.
- Provide hands-on guidance and support to crew members as needed.
Project Execution:
- Read and interpret landscape construction plans and blueprints.
- Manage project timelines and ensure work is completed according to schedule.
- Build the project with the crew.
- Operate and oversee the use of heavy equipment, power tools, and hand tools.
- Ensure all materials and equipment are available and in proper working order.
Quality Control & Safety:
- Maintain high-quality standards in all aspects of landscape construction.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure work meets project specifications.
- Adhere to and enforce safety regulations and protocols.
- Identify and mitigate potential job site hazards.
Communication & Coordination:
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for operations managers and superintendents.
- Communicate job progress, challenges, and any necessary adjustments to management.
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and other team members to keep projects running smoothly.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 - 75 pounds
- Extended periods of time driving in the delivery trucks
Competencies/Experience:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the landscape industry desired
- Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools, and equipment required to complete various landscape practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass background/DMV check and drug screening

- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation
- Legally permitted to work in the United States
- Ability to speak Spanish and English (not required, but strongly preferred)
