We are seeking an Attorney Development Manager to join our growing Administrative team. This role will primarily be in-office with some flexibility as it will involve daily interaction with attorneys.
Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of direct management experience in a law firm environment. Prior experience as a practicing attorney and/or a Juris Doctor are highly valued but are not required. Bachelor's degree is required.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: :
Mentoring, Training and Coaching
- Implement, administer, and further design the firm’s associate Mentor Program.
- Develop training for mentors.
- Identify key metrics and success identifiers for the Mentor Program.
- Regularly check in with both mentors and mentees on the program’s impact.
- Facilitate connections between associates and supervising attorneys for guidance and professional growth.
- Develop a comprehensive and consistent onboarding and training program for associates of different levels, in collaboration with leadership and the Learning Development team.
- Utilize the firm’s internal learning program, The Blueprint, to identify educational paths for new associates.
- Plan and implement training in various learning environments, including virtual, in-person, and recorded training.
- Build professional relationships with Members, Team Leaders, and Group Leaders.
- Provide coaching for associates on strategies for success and work with them on individual career development and training plans in alignment with increasing success and retention.
- Meet with associates regularly to discuss their workload, areas of interest, and identify appropriate professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to associate-focused retreats and events.
Performance and Production
- Monitor associate production, performance, and utilization levels to ensure benchmark goals are met.
- Work with Team Leaders to identify underperforming associates and issues related to underperformance; develop and implement individual plans to address these issues.
- Monitor and address staffing and work allocation issues as needed.
- Monitor workloads and professional development of associates and allocate additional work with an eye toward achieving an equitable distribution of assignments consistent with the clients’ needs and the associates’ individual professional development goals.
