What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Driver - Pupil Transportation position at Greenfield Public Schools?
JOB GOAL: Transportation of students safely to and from specified places.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow routes and use student pick-up and drop-off points as assigned, driving safely and obeying all laws at all times.
- Maintain discipline on the vehicle for the mental and physical health of the children, writing up the children on Conduct Reports if necessary.
- Wear a seatbelt at all times and keep children buckled in their seatbelts at all times.
- Keep vehicles fueled up and maintained (oil changes, tire work, inspections, etc.) at all times, including keeping vehicle being kept in a clean and odor free manner. The outside of the vehicles are to be kept clean.
- Maintain all paperwork in the vehicle for use by a substitute.
- Keep vehicle clean of snow; windows and lights clear of snow and ice.
- Complete all paperwork, physicals and license renewals in a prompt manner so that there is no expiration of licenses.
- Submit time sheets on time.
- Secure the vehicle whenever you are away from it. Keys are to be with you when you are not in the vehicle.
- Never leave children unattended.
