What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director of Pupil Services position at Greenfield Public Schools?
Work collaboratively with the Pupil Services Director. This is a full-time, twelve-month salaried position. MA Certification in Special Education required.
DUTIES:
•The position may include oversight of substantially separate programs in the district and evaluation of personnel
•Chair initial and 3-year re-evaluation meetings, as needed or assigned
•Review and monitor Individual Education Programs for compliance with special education laws and regulations
•Communicate with parents on a wide range of student services questions and concerns
•Work with Superintendent, Director of Pupil Services, and Principals to study data on achievement, IEP goals and decisions, and program design
•Assist in the development and monitoring of student services in the areas of: ELL, 504, civil rights, FERPA, nursing, transportation, early childhood and McKinney-Vento, as needed or assigned
•Provide professional development, as needed
•Other duties as assigned
