What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Psychologist position at Greenfield Public Schools?
DUTIES:
- Provide diagnostic services to all students when appropriate.
- Provide consultation to school and community agency personnel, when requested.
- Serve as a team member of individualized education program (IEP) when assigned by
the Director of Pupil Services.
- Diagnose students’ problems through psycho-educational evaluations and make
interpretations of the evaluations available to appropriate personnel.
- Provide both psychological and educational reports and provide recommendations regarding appropriate techniques and approaches to meet a student’s academic, social and emotional needs.
- Evaluate special education students to update information and to work within the team process to determine continued eligibility for Special Education Services.
- Serve as a clinical consultant for principals, teachers and other members of the school staff and
parents/guardians.
- Keep current, concise records and reports.
- Keep abreast of developments in the field of school psychology so as to furnish leadership in determining appropriate instruction for each student.
- Work to develop appropriate Section 504 plans for each qualifying student.
- Possess solid clinical assessment and student engagement skills with the ability to provide social skills instruction and clinical program support for students with social/emotional/ and developmental differences.
- Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as may, from time to
time, be assigned by the District Administrator or Director of Pupil Services.
SALARY:Per the Greenfield Education Association Master Agreement Salary Schedule starting at $52,564.
