About the Role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, client-focused Group Benefits Service Representative with brokerage experience who can confidently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll be a key partner to our Benefits Manager and clients, ensuring smooth renewals, enrollments, and ongoing service throughout the busy season.
What You’ll Do
- Work closely with the Benefits Manager, employers, and employees to provide exceptional service and support
- Prepare and present renewal options; market plans for assigned micro-accounts
- Coordinate new business implementations, renewals, and policy changes
- Manage enrollments and renewals in Ease, Employee Navigator, and Epic
- Support clients through open enrollment
- Act as liaison between employers and carriers for eligibility and enrollment
- Maintain accurate records of member changes and documentation
- Reconcile reports and carrier invoices
- Interpret carrier guidelines and ensure compliance
- Educate clients on benefits administration and enrollment systems
- Assist with service issues, claims, and ongoing support needs
What You Bring
- 3 years of group health insurance/employee benefits experience (brokerage preferred)
- Active California Life & Health License
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and related regulations
- Experience with medical and ancillary coverage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with Ease, Employee Navigator, and Epic (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, dependable, and deadline-driven
