Clinical Assistant Role and Responsibilities
-Ensures administrative functions are carried out promptly for an efficient operation of the facility.
-Develops and maintains a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as other departments within the facility, to assure that administrative services and activities can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the facility.
-Maintains confidentiality of information to assure resident, employee and employer rights are protected.
-Establishes and maintains an adequate filing system.
-Executes, obtains approval and submits all check vouchers to Accounts Payable.
-Performs various secretarial duties for other staff members as necessary.
-Adheres to dress code policy at all times.
-Adheres to time and attendance policy at all times.
-Practices safe work habits and follows all safety procedures of the facility.
-Assures the safety, security, and wellbeing of our residents
-Assists QA Director with projects on an as needed basis.
-Assist Social Work department with clerical duties such as cut letters, therapy referrals, bed hold agreements, and discharge/transfer notices
-Completes misappropriation process under the supervision of Administrator and Grievance Officer.
-Complete resident interviews as indicated, such as initial interviews upon admission and assists with discharge assessments. This also includes the forwarding of concerns to the Grievance Officer and applicable departments.
-Assist Social Work department in home care referral process for discharging residents

Qualifications:Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of related experience
- experience in social work or nursing preferred
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
- Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day.
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
- Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility.
- May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
- Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
- Must be able to climb stairs.
Working Conditions:
- Will work in a well-lighted and ventilated area.
- Will be subject to frequent interruptions.
- May be asked to work beyond normal working hours, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary.
- May be subject to call-backs during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.)
- Is subject to injury from falls, burns, from equipment, odors, etc., throughout the workday, as well as reactions from dust, disinfectants, tobacco smoke and other air contaminates.
