What are the responsibilities and job description for the Music/Performing Arts Secretary position at Greenfield-Central Cmty School District?
JOB GOAL: The Music Secretary works with our Performing Arts program.
This position is a 225 day position with some week nights and weekends for concerts, theater productions and contests.
The Music Department secretary works in conjunction with our Band, Choir and Orchestra Directors along with our Drama Director.
This person will manage scheduling of events and needs related to those events, along with travel for groups to contests throughout the year.
The position works with our Band Booster program to schedule meetings and assist with needs during the school day.
This position also manages budgets for the programs, collecting and depositing money for various needs. QuickBooks is used to track funds.

- Oversee Office Cadets.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student, parent, family and staff information.
- The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the Corporation.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, and perform arithmetic operations as needed.
- Ability to understand, apply and use personal computers and software applications (e.g., Google suite).
- Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work.
- Ability to report work orally or in writing to supervisor as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year of general clerical experience, preferred.
- Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Ability to carry 25 lbs.
- Ability to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations.
- Ability to see for the purpose of reading laws and codes, rules and policies and other printed material.
- Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels.
- Ability to communicate so others will be able to clearly understand a normal conversation.
- Ability to operate office equipment.
- Ability to reach in all directions.
