We are currently seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable Budtenders to join our team and help customers find the right products in a safe, compliant, and service-driven environment.
Job Summary:
As a Budtender, you will be the face of the dispensary—educating customers, facilitating sales, ensuring compliance, and maintaining an organized, welcoming retail space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers, verify valid identification (21 ) in compliance with OCM regulations
- Provide accurate and responsible cannabis education and product recommendations
- Operate point-of-sale systems (Dutchie POS) and handle cash transactions securely
- Package, label, and dispense cannabis products in accordance with NYS regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and service counter
- Monitor and manage product inventory using BioTrack
- Stay up to date with evolving cannabis laws, strain knowledge, and store promotions
- Report any compliance issues or customer concerns to management
- Participate in ongoing training to ensure product knowledge and compliance awareness
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old (required by law)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior retail or customer service experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must comply with all NY State cannabis laws and regulations
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Cannabis knowledge or interest is a plus
Additional Details:
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
- Training provided; prior cannabis experience is helpful but not required
- Employees must comply with all rules under NYS Labor Law and Cannabis Law
