Position: HR Business Partner

Location: Charleston, SC (Hybrid)

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Greene Resources is seeking a HR Business Partner to partner directly with our leadership team as we scale our growing organization. This individual will play a critical role in creating structure, improving communication, enhancing employee engagement, and establishing people processes that support business growth.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who combines human resources expertise with operational excellence. They will help define organizational structure, clarify roles and responsibilities, strengthen internal communications, and serve as the primary liaison with our PEO partner.

This role offers the opportunity to build foundational people and operational practices that will shape the future of the organization.

Job Description

Organizational Development & Effectiveness

  • Evaluate and optimize organizational structure to support company growth.
  • Develop and maintain organizational charts, reporting structures, and role definitions.
  • Partner with leadership to clarify employee responsibilities, accountability, and performance expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve collaboration, communication, and operational efficiency across teams.
  • Facilitate workforce planning and organizational design initiatives.

Human Resources Leadership

  • Serve as the primary internal HR leader and trusted advisor to management.
  • Manage and strengthen the company's relationship with Insperity, ensuring effective utilization of available HR resources and services.
  • Oversee employee relations, performance management, coaching, and employee development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and best practices.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, and retention efforts.
  • Maintain and update employee policies, handbooks, and procedures.

Internal Communications

  • Develop and implement communication strategies that improve transparency and employee engagement.
  • Create consistent processes for sharing company updates, organizational changes, and business priorities.
  • Facilitate leadership communications and company-wide meetings.
  • Help establish a culture of accountability, alignment, and open communication.

Business Operations Support

  • Assess and improve internal processes and workflows.
  • Support leadership in developing scalable operating procedures and management practices.
  • Assist with change management initiatives as the organization grows.
  • Create systems that improve organizational visibility and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

Required

  • 10 years of progressive HR, People Operations, Organizational Development, or Business Operations experience.
  • Experience supporting growing or scaling organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and drive organizational change.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems and HR service providers.

Preferred

  • Experience in small to mid-sized businesses or entrepreneurial organizations.
  • Background in organizational development, change management, or business operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
