What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Access Rep-OS position at GREENE COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER?
- Full-time position (80 hours/2-week pay period)
- Benefit eligible; IPERS
- Mon – Fri.; day position, shift starts at 6:45a, 8a or 830a
- Critical thinking skills, organized and a positive attitude
- Strong team-player
- Transcribes all lab and radiology orders from outside providers as well as checks for accuracy
- Provides support with daily activities of hospital business office
- Register patients, schedule appointments, answer in-coming calls and collect patient financial liability payments
- Excellent customer service experience
- Familiar with medical insurance
- Notary Public, will train
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of one (1) year experience of patient access functions working within a hospital or clinic environment preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary in dealing with peers, internal and external customers
- Strong clerical and computer skills
- Works with various types of office equipment, scanners, faxes, copiers, card readers
- EPIC experience a plus, or other Medical Record System
- Works with providers (internal & external) on orders
- Responsible for faxing results to external providers
- Required: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Computer skills
