Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Laboratory Supervisor to lead our clinical laboratory team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily laboratory operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and maintain the highest quality of testing procedures. Your leadership will drive efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement in our laboratory services, supporting clinical trials, research initiatives, and patient diagnostics.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily laboratory activities across microbiology, histology, molecular biology, and other specialty areas to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure all laboratory procedures adhere to GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), FDA regulations, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), and other relevant standards.
- Manage laboratory staff by providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing team.
- Oversee laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for accurate data collection, documentation, and reporting.
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements related to clinical laboratories and research environments.
- Coordinate with research & development teams to support ongoing projects and clinical trials through precise sample handling and analysis.
- Implement quality control measures, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize laboratory techniques for accuracy and efficiency.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting with strong leadership skills.
- Extensive knowledge of laboratory techniques including microbiology, histology, molecular biology, and general lab procedures.
- Familiarity with GLP, FDA regulations, CGMP standards, and laboratory accreditation processes.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for data tracking and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Background in clinical laboratory experience or research laboratories involving clinical trials is highly desirable.
- Strong analysis skills combined with excellent communication abilities to lead teams effectively and ensure compliance.
