What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Technician (MLT) - Family Medicine Clinic position at GREENE COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER?
- Full-time position (80 hours/2-week pay period)
- Benefits eligible, PTO, IPERS
- Monday-Friday, 10-hour shifts 7:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m., 4 days/week
- Will primarily provide lab services in Family Medicine Clinic
- Obtain specimens and maintain specimen equipment
- Perform complex medical laboratory tests for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease
- Analyze laboratory findings to check accuracy of the results
- Enter data from analysis of medical tests and clinical results into computer for storage
- Operate, calibrate and maintain equipment used in quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional patient interactions
- Complete clerical duties involving the laboratory
- May travel to other departments and community to collect specimens
- Required: Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Program
- Required: Associate degree of Applied Science
- Preferred: ASCP certification
