Longleaf Liberty Park is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Assisted Living to lead our clinical team and ensure the highest quality of care for our residents. What You'll Do

  • Oversee the daily clinical operations of the Assisted Living department while ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
  • Provide services in accordance with state and federal regulations and Department of Public Health requirements.
  • Participate in pre-admission assessments for prospective residents.
  • Complete admission, monthly, and periodic resident assessments, including evaluations of functional and cognitive abilities.
  • Develop, review, and revise resident assessments and individualized care plans upon admission, as required by regulations, and whenever a resident's condition changes.
  • Coordinate medical, dental, and laboratory appointments for residents.
  • Ensure compliance with all community policies, procedures, and personnel standards.
  • Participate in and support staff education and professional development initiatives.
  • Lead emergency preparedness efforts by understanding and implementing the community's Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness Plan.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to provide exceptional resident-centered care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing and caregiving staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on quality care and resident satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director to support the overall success of the community.

What We're Looking For

  • Current LPN license in the State of Alabama (required).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive leadership experience in Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, or a related healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of state regulations and clinical compliance standards.
  • Passion for providing exceptional care and enhancing the lives of seniors.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
