Greenbrier Animal Care Center is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team and support exceptional experiences for our clients and patients across all aspects of the hospital.
This is an excellent opportunity for a versatile assistant who enjoys variety in their day and wants to continue utilizing and developing a well-rounded skillset across patient care, client service, surgery, and outpatient procedures.
We are seeking a dependable, motivated candidate who thrives in a collaborative environment, multitasks efficiently, anticipates team needs, communicates professionally, and takes pride in delivering exceptional support throughout every stage of the patient visit. Previous experience with Avimark is a huge plus!
In this position, you will take an active role in:
- Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures, including patient prep, setup, and recovery
- Performing radiology, phlebotomy, SQ injections, and laboratory sample collection
- Providing safe, gentle handling and restraint for patients of all species, including exotics
- Supporting front desk and client service responsibilities as needed, including medical recordkeeping, treatment plan review, and discharge instructions
- Maintaining clean, organized, and fully prepared exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces
Schedule and compensation:
- Compensation: $18 - 24 per hour, for each hour worked
- This is a Full-Time position, with a 4 x 10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
- 3 years of veterinary assistant experience is highly preferred
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Client communication & education
- Front desk experience a plus
- Radiology
- Surgical setup and assisting
- Phlebotomy and SQ injections
- Laboratory sample collection
- Inpatient care and monitoring
- Client communication & education
