Greenbrier Animal Care Center is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team! This role is perfect for outgoing assistants with strong patient-handling skills who enjoy creating meaningful connections with clients and their pets.
In this role, you will:
- Ensure smooth, efficient exam room flow and provide exceptional patient and client care
- Maintain accurate, detailed medical records
- Review treatment plans and discharge instructions with clarity and empathy
- Support the veterinarian and technicians during outpatient care and surgical procedures
This position is ideal for someone who shines in client engagement and communication. The right candidate is friendly, collaborative, and drama-freesomeone who enjoys educating clients, works well with all personality types, and jumps in to help wherever needed.
Schedule: This is a full-time position, with availability needed Monday-Friday.
Full-time benefits and compensation**:
- Compensation: $17-22 per hour, for each hour worked*
- Bonus package: $500 for those with 3 years of consecutive, current VA experience

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
- 3 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Manage exam rooms, including taking thorough patient histories and relaying information to the doctor
- Assist with diagnostics, including sample collection and patient handling
- Support surgical preparation and anesthesia monitoring
- Administer SQ injections and assist with treatments
- Provide excellent client communication and education during visits
