About the Role
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead the quality programme on a mission-critical data center project in Jackson, Mississippi. This is a hands-on, site-based role with full ownership of quality across all trades and phases of construction, from rough-in through to final system turnover.
The right candidate will be someone who takes quality seriously without hiding behind a clipboard - proactive, field-credible, and capable of driving accountability across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architectural, and civil scopes simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage the project-specific QA/QC plan in line with contract documents and owner standards
- Conduct field inspections across all trades to verify installation quality, workmanship, and system conformity
- Review submittals and shop drawings for specification compliance, coordinating with the design team where required
- Track and manage NCRs, deficiency logs, and punch lists from rough-in through final turnover
- Coordinate third-party inspections and testing including concrete, welding, fireproofing, and NETA testing
- Support pre-functional checklists and equipment readiness inspections ahead of commissioning
- Lead quality meetings with subcontractors and deliver quality training to field personnel
- Maintain thorough documentation of inspections, testing records, redlines, and as-built conditions
- Ensure all QA/QC deliverables are packaged correctly for final client turnover
- Coordinate with the commissioning team to ensure quality activities support overall schedule and system readiness
Required Experience
- 7 years in QA/QC or field construction inspection, preferably in mission-critical or MEP-intensive environments
- Strong working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and quality standards including IBC, ASTM, ASHRAE, NFPA, and ISO 9001
- Experience coordinating third-party testing agencies and owner quality representatives
- Familiarity with pre-functional and commissioning readiness processes
- Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, BIM 360, or equivalent documentation platforms
- Quality management certification preferred - CQM-C, ASQ, ICC, or ACI
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
