About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through to successful completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving project performance across safety, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead construction projects from initial planning through completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Facilitate project meetings and ensure clear communication among all stakeholders.
- Manage project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability.
- Oversee contract administration for both owners and subcontractors.
- Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and other project documentation.
- Conduct project buyout activities and support procurement efforts.
- Negotiate contracts, permits, licenses, and vendor agreements.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
- Collaborate closely with Superintendents to ensure efficient project execution.
- Support business development efforts by fostering strong client relationships and identifying future opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 6 years of experience in construction management, architecture, or construction engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, building systems, construction methods, and industry best practices.
- Working knowledge of local and state building codes, safety regulations, and contract administration.
- Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and project teams.
- Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and project financial controls.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience mentoring and developing team members.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet demanding deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to interpret drawings, schedules, reports, and project data.
