How You’ll Make An Impact

As our Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will ensure timely and accurate billing, payment processing, and reconciliation to support the company’s financial health and cash flow integrity. This role combines precision, communication, and customer service to maintain positive relationships and efficient collections. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with the accounting team to improve billing accuracy, workflow efficiency, and collection performance.
• Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciling AR accounts and supporting documentation.
• Respond to customer inquiries related to billing discrepancies or payment applications.
• Prepare and update aging reports; communicate regularly with internal teams regarding account statuses.
• Maintain accurate records of billing, collections, and payment histories in the accounting system.
• Record, apply, and reconcile all customer payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor accounts receivable balances, identify delinquent accounts, and follow up promptly on past-due payments.
• Prepare and distribute customer invoices in accordance with established billing schedules and contract terms.

What You Bring

• Commitment to confidentiality and accuracy in all financial data handling.
• Experience with accounting software a must; BIG plus if you have experience with ProContractor
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and collection practices.
• Ability to reconcile accounts accurately and identify discrepancies quickly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills for interacting with clients and internal teams.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; familiarity with accounting software systems.
• 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting support roles.
• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business preferred.
